They also do ‘yoga’ &an intense but quick practice session on the Mallakamba   ensures that the expertise of the children is developed day after day.  The positive impact of play, sports and yoga is evident as the children are now less immune to illness, have a healthy appetite, and have healthy growth indicators. Mallakamba helps to build confidence, courage and skill enhancement among children. Mallakamba, also known as pole gymnastics, is a traditional Indian sport in which a gymnast performs feats and poses with a vertical wooden pole or rope. Mallakhamba derives form the terms ‘Malla’ which means a wrestler and ‘kamba’ means pole.
